Dr David Budgett shows innovative medical device technology to US Ambassador Huebner at the premises of Telemetry Research The US Ambassador to New Zealand, David Huebner, visted Telemetry Reseach Head Office at the Auckland BioEngineering Institute. Dr David Budgett showed our innovative animal telemetry system. This uses our Transcutaneous Energy Transfer (TET) technology, which is also in development for use in human artifical organs.  Here David demonstrates a working prototype of the TET system to the Ambassador. Heart assist and other artificial organ manufacturers in the USA and Europe are investigating how this advanced technology can remove the need for power cables through the skin, with their associated dangers and risks of infection. |
