NEW Tissue Oxygen Telemeter

Telemetry Research in conjunction with Blue Box Sensors today have released the NEW Tissue Oxygen Telemeter.

This telemeter combines the technology of power induction in the telemeter with the stability of the Blue Box Sensors Carbon paste electrode, to measure tissue oxygen in free moving/untethered rats.  The combination of these two technologies also opens a variety of new opportunities previously unavailable in studying tissue oxygen in a variety of applications and studies including:

  • Memory and learning
  • Metabolism
  • Diurnal rhythms
  • Behavioral – using mazes
  • Respiratory/gas exchange
  • Pharmaceutical testing
  • Social interaction
  • Localized ischemia………and more

The Telemeter, is a miniature potentiostat, controlling and measuring the electrochemical reaction in the detection of tissue oxygen concentration.  The telemeter/potentiostat contains a rechargeable battery and combined with the standard Telemetry Research SmartPad provides the ability for long-term recordings of tissue oxygen.  The unit has unit has three leads with a carbon paste working electrode, reference and auxiliary silver electrodes.

More information about the applications or details about the TR57Y Tissue Oxygen Telemeter are available on this website.
